Stoeger Double Defense 20 Ga Side By Side 20" Barrel Black 31447

Description

Stoeger Double Defense 20 Gauge 20" Black Hardwood 2-Shot 31447

Stoeger Double Defense

The Stoeger Double Defense is a 20 gauge side-by-side shotgun with 20 inch ported barrels and a 3 inch chamber. It uses a matte black hardwood stock and forend and a matte blue metal finish. A green fiber-optic front sight sits up front.

The break-action uses a single trigger and a tang-mounted automatic safety. Both barrels have fixed improved-cylinder chokes. Picatinny rails are installed on the receiver and under the barrels for an optic, light, or laser. Length of pull is 14-1/2 inches. Overall length is 36.5 inches and weight is 6.4 lbs.

This Double Defense is well suited for home defense and close-quarters use. The 20 gauge chambering and ported barrels keep recoil and muzzle rise down. Two barrels and a short overall length make the gun quick to bring on target.

Great shotgun! Excellent retailer!

I bought this Stoeger Double Defense 20ga SxSshotgun to help teach my friend's 11 year old daughter how to shoot a real gun. She was a bit skittish at first, but once she shot it the first time, she was hooked! It's a great little shotgun for teaching children to use guns other than a .22lr! And I think it'll be a good home defense weapon once they're done using it for hunting season. The only thing I'd improve is the instructions on how to assemble it,because it's counterintuitive and difficult, if the hammers are down, when it arrives, like mine were! I had to look up on YouTube how to reset the hammers on a Stoeger Coach Gun, because there're essentially the same, in terms of assembly and function, other than the triggers! After, I got it put together, I could've used some instructions on how to install the top rail, because I didn't realize that there're inserts in the screw holes that need to be removed before the screws can be put in! You just use the smaller Allen wrench that comes with the gun, to take them out! I hope this helps anyone who buys this particular gun!
